Florida hosting this Lone Star state OL on official visit

It’s going to be a busy first weekend of June in the Swamp with several recruits on official visits to Florida. The latest name to confirm an OV is offensive lineman Ory Williams out of Texas.

More than a dozen recruits are expected to be in Gainesville this weekend for an official visit, and Billy Napier’s staff is afraid of adding more names to the list.

San Marcos (Texas) offensive tackle [autotag]Ory Williams[/autotag] is the latest recruit to confirm an official visit with the Gators for this weekend, according to 247Sports. It will be Williams’ first trip to the Swamp and his second official visit overall.

Williams stopped by Oklahoma State for his first official visit back in April, but he’s planning on running through a trio of SEC schools in June before finishing things off with a visit to Texas. The Longhorns might be the team to beat after hosting him on a trio of unofficial visits over the past year.

The On3 recruiting prediction machine gives Texas the best odds to land Williams at 88.9 percent. LSU, Georgia and Florida round out the top four but all have less than 5 percent odds to sign him based on current projections.

ESPN is the only recruiting service that thinks Williams is a four-star talent. He’s ranked No. 212 nationally on ESPN’s independent rankings, No. 19 among offensive tackles and No. 35 among recruits from the talent-rich state of Texas in 2024.

On3’s industry ranking, which uses a weighted average to reach a consensus rating, has Williams at No. 642 nationally and No. 44 among offensive tackles.
