Billy Napier is staying the course with his plan to keep the top players in the state of Florida home with [autotag]Bredell Richardson[/autotag] set as his latest target.
The 6-foot, 190-pound wide receiver out of Carrollwood Day High School in Tampa, Florida, was previously offered by [autotag]Dan Mullen[/autotag]’s staff and was re-offered a scholarship (along with high school teammate running back [autotag]Anthony Carie[/autotag]) by [autotag]Billy Napier[/autotag] after meeting the Orange and Blue’s new coach last month.
Richardson spent time with wide receivers coach Keary Colbert and told Gators Online that he and Colbert have been building a relationship for quite some time now. Richardson also mentioned that he likes the fact that Napier took his time evaluating him and taking his time with offering the four-star wideout.
His time in Gainesville allowed him to get a first-hand account of what Napier’s blueprint for the Florida football program looks like, with Napier taking time out of his day to speak one on one with Richardson.
It’s going to be difficult for Napier to keep Richardson close to home, with the wide receivers having over 35 offers with two years of high school football still left to play. Top schools to have offered Richardson include Alabama, Georgia, LSU, Notre Dame, Texas, Texas A&M, Miami, Florida State, and of course, Florida.
While no official or unofficial visits are scheduled, Richardson says he intends to visit Gainesville this fall. He is the No. 12 receiver and the No. 77 overall player in the 2024 class.
