The Texas Longhorns and Steve Sarkisian continue to ride a wave of momentum on the recruiting trail.
Five-star cornerback Denver Harris released his top four schools on Sunday. Texas, LSU, Alabama, and Texas A&M are the final programs competing for one of the nation’s top defensive back prospects.
The Houston native is a top-6 overall prospect in the nation from the 2022 recruiting class according to 247Sports composite ranking. Harris is listed as the No. 3 cornerback in the cycle and has compiled an impressive list of offers that includes Alabama, Clemson, Florida, Georgia, LSU, and Ohio State.

The 6-foot-1, 180-pound playmaker was a first-team MaxPreps Junior All-American in 2020 for North Shore High School. On top of that, he was named the District 21-6A Defensive Player of the Year.
Sarkisian is aware of how critical it is to land the top in-state prospects. Receiving a commitment from the No. 2 player in Texas from the 2022 recruiting class would be an incredible win for his new staff.
