Five-star Anthony Jones calls Auburn trip ‘one of the best he’s ever had’

Jones’s comments come just days after Auburn’s staff secured the recruitments of three top ranked prospects in the 2026 class.

2026 five-star edge rusher Anthony Jones was on the Plains for ‘Big Cat Weekend’ last week and had some fantastical praise about his time. The Mobile, AL native, who is currently a consensus top 15 prospect in the class, Jones said the visit to Auburn “was probably one of the best visits I’ve been on so far.”

The talented edge rusher spoke about the relationships he’s made with the Auburn staff. “They just showed a lot of love to my family and took care of us.,.the relationships. How they took time out during the day to come talk to me and stuff.” Jones further went on to praise defensive line coach Josh Aldridge saying, “I love him, he’s a great guy. He always takes care of me.”

Jones’s comments come just days after Auburn’s staff secured the recruitments of three top ranked prospects in the 2026 class. Now with the No. 1 class in the country, Auburn could further strengthen that position if  Jones was to become a Tiger. Although he doesn’t plan on making a decision in the near future, the five-star recruit has said Auburn and Alabama are currently his top two.
