Five Vikings who could be key reserves in 2020

The Vikings could very well need reserves to step up in order to find success in 2020. Here are five players who could rise to the occasion.

Hercules Mata’afa

Mata’afa, a defensive tackle, posted a picture earlier this offseason where he weighed 289 pounds, despite being listed at 254 pounds.

I’m not sure if Mata’afa could beat out the likes of Michael Pierce and Shamar Stephen for a starting spot, but if he keeps that weight on, he could be a nice reserve option as a three-technique player, maybe even playing the one-technique as a more finesse option at that spot.

Mata’afa will be an interesting player to watch come training camp.
