The spring season kicks off for Rutgers football this week and with it starts an important time in the program’s growth.
As a developmental program, the next month of practices, culminating in the annual Spring Game, will be pivotal if Rutgers is going to take yet another step in their rebuild.
Last year’s 7-6 record, culminating in a win over Miami in the Bad Boy Mowers Pinstripe Bowl, was a step in the right direction. But now Rutgers needs to build depth and continue to develop talent if it is to remain a bowl team.
