The Big Ten baseball season is coming to a close, and with it, the conference has announced its All-Big Ten performers for the 2021 season.
Ohio State may not have quite met expectations this year, but it was able to pull things together and finish with a winning record in what can only be described as a challenging year. With games canceled, travel relegated to certain venues, and a conference-only schedule, every team had its own unique challenges.
Throughout it all, five Buckeye baseball players made it onto the All-Big team. Connor Pohl and Kade Kern were both listed on the second team, with pitchers Seth Lonsway, Garrett Burhenn, and T.J. Brock being honored on the third team. Kern was also recognized as an All-Freshman performer.
Not to be forgotten, senior relief pitcher Joe Gahm received the Buckeyes sportsmanship award.

Congrats to all the award winners, and let’s look forward to a 2021 season that looks a bit more like what we’ve become accustomed to in Columbus.
