First look at Texas QB Arch Manning at spring practice

Arch Manning took the field as a Longhorn for the first time.

Freshman quarterback Arch Manning hit the field for the first time as Longhorn on Monday as Texas held its first practice of the spring.

Manning is one of the more highly anticipated recruiting stories in quite some time at the college level.

The former five-star prospect is the nephew of NFL legends Eli and Peyton Manning. While the last name holds significant weight, Arch has earned on the field all of the hype.

Manning threw for more than 7,000 yards and nearly 80 touchdowns in his high school career, breaking records set by his uncles. In addition, he led Isidore Newman to the postseason each year as a starter.

Manning is set to compete in an excellent Texas quarterback room with returning starter Quinn Ewers and talented second-year passer Maalik Murphy.

Here is a first look at Manning practicing in a Texas uniform as the Longhorns start spring ball.
