First look at early enrollees arriving to Texas campus

It’s moving day for the incoming freshmen class for Texas Longhorns football.

It’s moving day for a few of the signees from the 2021 recruiting class.

It’s always an exciting moment for these freshmen to arrive on campus after graduating early from their respective high schools. The 2021 recruiting class isn’t yet finished as new head coach Steve Sarkisian still needs to finalize the remaining pieces of the class.

Among those who have arrived early include offensive tackle Hayden Conner, safety J.D. Coffey, punter Isaac Pearson, cornerback Jamier Johnson and wide receiver Jaden Alexis.

The Longhorns social media department produced a video of the players arriving on campus, finding their dorms and navigating their way around the Forty Acres. This is just the beginning of what should be plenty of memories for the 2021 class.

Sarkisian is taking over the No. 17 recruiting class according to 247Sports composite team rankings. Before Tom Herman was relieved of his duties as head coach, it was stated that the team had nine spots left in the class to fill. One situation to monitor with Kyle Flood and Jeff Banks arriving to join Sarkisian is which recruits they are likely to target.

As Steve Wiltfong of 247Sports likes to say — it’s spatula season. Which top commits from other schools will Sarkisian and Co. look to flip? Recruiting on the Forty Acres is about to get very interesting.
