Final injury report for Washington vs. Cowboys, Week 16

The final injury report for Washington featured very little positive news.

The final injury report is in for the Washington Football Team, and it featured very little positive news ahead of the Week 16 rematch against the Dallas Cowboys.

The first hit came when the team ruled out safety Landon Collins for the game with a foot injury. After injuring the foot in Tuesday’s loss to the Eagles, no one expected Collins to play Sunday. Not long after Washington released its final injury report for the week, the team announced it had moved Collins to injured reserve, ending his regular season.

That’s brutal news for a Washington team still trying to make a late push for the playoffs.

Also out for Washington this week is cornerback William Jackson III. In some good news, Kendall Fuller is back from the reserve/COVID-19 list, but being down one of your top two cornerbacks against the Cowboys’ wide receivers is not ideal.

Jackson was also injured in Tuesday’s loss.

In other injury news for Washington, safety Deshazor Everett missed Friday’s practice after being involved in a tragic car accident. Wide receiver Curtis Samuel was limited and is listed as questionable for Sunday.

Running back Antonio Gibson didn’t practice all week but was listed as questionable for the game. This has been the trend for Gibson, who’s battled a shin injury all season. Now, he has a toe injury similar to the one that limited him in 2020.

The most significant injury news for Dallas is left tackle Tyron Smith is out with an ankle injury.
