It’s hard to believe that at age 45, Tampa Bay Buccaneers quarterback Tom Brady is still performing at such a high level – posting 2 of his most impressive statistical seasons in his 2 years in Tampa Bay.
Below, we look at Tom Brady’s 2022 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.
In 2 seasons with the Buccaneers, Brady has thrown for 9,949 yards with 83 touchdown passes and 2 TD runs. Last season, he led the NFL in attempts, completions, passing yards and passing TDs. Many have predicted he would “hit the wall” at some point, but that day hasn’t come yet.
Tom Brady’s ADP: 70.89

Despite his gaudy numbers, Brady remains a low-end QB1 (No. 8 among quarterbacks). He has almost all of his weapons remaining from his first 2 seasons in Tampa and if his offensive line can continue to protect him, he will slice and dice defenses at a high level again in 2022.
Brady’s ADP puts him a full round behind Jalen Hurts (Philadelphia Eagles) at 59.94 and he starts a significant run on QBs in the 8th round of 10-player drafts – quickly followed up by Russell Wilson (Denver Broncos) at 70.94, Dak Prescott (Dallas Cowboys) at 74.17 and Aaron Rodgers (Green Bay Packers) at 76.64.

Where should you draft Tom Brady?
I’ve ended up with Brady in fantasy leagues just about every year since he turned 40 and haven’t been disappointed. He has actually improved with age and has such a quick release, he rarely gets blitzed and, when he does, he identifies mismatches so quickly they routinely turn into big gains.
A case can be made for a guy like Hurts to be taken a round ahead of Brady, but it’s hard to turn your back on the kind of huge numbers Brady has produced in Tampa Bay. Will this be the year age catches up with him? His critics have been saying that since 2018 and it hasn’t happened yet because he keeps proving he’s the G.O.A.T. year after year.
