Fantasy football: Where to draft Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams

Analyzing Las Vegas Raiders WR Davante Adams’ 2022 fantasy football ADP and where you should target him in your drafts.

In his 8-year NFL career, Las Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams has been as dominant as anyone at his position. Over the last 4 seasons covering 57 games, he has caught 432 passes for 5,310 yards and 47 touchdowns — averaging 93.2 yards per game.

Below, we look at Davante Adams‘ 2022 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Adams spent his entire career groomed to be the main threat for Aaron Rodgers. Now he moves on to play with Derek Carr and prove that the success he had in Green Bay was as much the result of his ability as it was Rodgers’.

Davante Adams’ ADP: 13.62

In the last 2 seasons (30 games) Adams has caught 238 passes for 2,927 yards a league-best 29 touchdowns. Yet, he is ranked 4th among wide receivers for ADP and has 2 others chasing him down as 2nd-round fantasy draft picks.

There are 3 players routinely coming off the board in the 1st round ahead of Adams — Cooper Kupp (Los Angeles Rams) at 5.14, Justin Jefferson (Minnesota Vikings) at 5.79 and Ja’Marr Chase (Cincinnati Bengals) at 8.88. Adams leads the list of 2nd-round picks, ahead of Stefon Diggs (Buffalo Bills) at 16.24 and CeeDee Lamb (Dallas Cowboys) at 18.86.

Where should you draft Adams?

He is coming to the Raiders with a lot of expectations and is being viewed as the passing game Messiah that will bring Vegas to a higher level.

To expect the kind of numbers he produced with Rodgers is not rational. They combined for off-the-charts production. Coming to the AFC, opponents have limited experience against him, but what made Rodgers and Adams such a lethal tandem was that Rodgers would throw passes to Adams that Carr won’t even try. Those numbers add up quickly to padding a player’s stats.

I would rank Diggs ahead of Adams because he has Josh Allen, but 100 catches, 1,300 yards and 10 touchdowns for Adams are baseline numbers he should be able to reach.
