Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow has been impressive since joining the NFL in 2020. Burrow was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft. He had a season-ending injury as a rookie and responded by winning the 2021 AP Comeback Player of the Year. He was hurt again last season and only played 10 games. Burrow has been to 1 Pro Bowl in his 4 seasons and has played more than 10 games just twice. Below, we look at Joe Burrow’s 2024 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

Entering 2024, Burrow is expected to take another step forward with a slew of top receivers in the NFL. If he stays healthy, Burrow could easily be a top-5 QB in the league in terms of fantasy value.

Burrow’s 53.34 ADP in redraft leagues places him in the range of the 5th to 7th round, depending on the size and format of the league. The Bengals’ top receiver Ja’Marr Chase ranks 8th overall with a 7.51 ADP.

Among quarterbacks, Burrow’s ADP puts him 6th at the position, behind Indianapolis’ Anthony Richardson (49.05), Houston’s C.J. Stroud (46.65) and Baltimore’s Lamar Jackson (36.24). Arizona’s Kyler Murray (59.68) is 7th and is followed by Dallas’ Dak Prescott (60.66) and Green Bay’s Jordan Love (62.76).

Where should you draft Burrow?

Burrow’s fantasy value should get a boost from his starting out healthy and being ready to roll. The Bengals upgraded their defense and added TE Mike Gesicki. However, the main concern is Cincinnati is still its offensive line and if it can protect Burrow enough to make him among the best fantasy options in the league.

Chase and company are elite weapons, and Burrow has proven, with them in the fold, he can be one of the most productive quarterbacks in the NFL. He’ll have a new offensive coordinator as well, although the playbook will likely not vary much.

According to Pro Football-Reference.com, Burrow ranked 8th in 2021 and 4th in 2022 for fantasy QBs — when he played the full season. His peak is without a doubt there, but so are the clear concerns over his healthy and how durable he will be without a major offensive line improvement.

Draft Burrow in the 2nd round of 2-QB leagues and then in late 5th or early 6th round once quarterbacks start to fly off the board. He’s a top option, but the injury concerns are too great to make him a stellar option.
