Fantasy football draft: Where to target Tennessee Titans WR A.J. Brown

Analyzing Tennessee Titans WR A.J. Brown’s 2021 fantasy football ADP and where you should target him in your drafts.

Tennessee Titans WR A.J. Brown registered his second consecutive 1,000-receiving yards campaign. It will be interesting to see what he does for an encore in 2021. Below, we look at A.J. Brown‘s 2021 fantasy football average draft position (ADP) and where you should draft him.

The Titans made a huge splash by landing veteran WR Julio Jones from the Atlanta Falcons. While those who have long-term dynasty stock in Brown might not have liked the move initially, it actually should only enhance what Brown has been able to do on the field.

Jones will be able to mentor Brown and mold him into an even better pro heading into his third NFL season, which is a big turning point for a lot of stars.

For those fretting about Jones potentially taking targets away, think again. In fact, the threat of Jones on the other side should take away from of the double coverage on Brown, allowing him to be even more dangerous.

Despite the acquisition of Jones, Brown is it in Nashville. His ADP ranks among the top 10 at his position, officially ninth among wideouts. That means if you had plans of seeing him later than the third round, you need to adjust your thinking. Brown should be off the board somewhere in Round 3, perhaps even early in the round.

Where should you take Brown in your fantasy football draft?

There is no reason to consider Brown in either of the first two rounds, even in leagues of 12 or more teams. However, anywhere from the early portion of Round 3 is just fine.

Brown has posted back-to-back 1,000-yard campaigns to start his NFL career, and there is no reason to believe that is going to end now, regardless of what Jones is doing on the other side.

First off, Jones is 32, so he isn’t a spring chicken anymore, and he nearly missed half of his teams’ games in 2020 due to injury. So Brown should be operating just as he did prior to the arrival of Jones. If anything, the lack of double coverages to focus more on the veteran Jones will only serve to help, not hurt, Brown.

Brown has the potential to eventually rise into the top 5 for 2022 with another strong season. He is just so consistent, you’re in good shape with him as a low-end WR1.
