Falcons DL Calais Campbell wins NFLPA Alan Page Community Award

Falcons defensive lineman Calais Campbell was selected as the Alan Page Community Award winner by the NFLPA

From the NFL draft to free agency, the Atlanta Falcons have some major decisions to make this offseason. Fortunately, head coach Raheem Morris has already put together most of his coaching staff so the team should be able to hit the ground running when the new league year begins.

In 2023, the Falcons added some big names in free agency, including Jessie Bates, Calais Campbell and David Onyemata. Even though the team missed the playoffs, all three players excelled last season. Bates and Onyemata are under contract for a few more seasons, but Campbell is set to hit free agency once again.

The veteran defensive lineman made a difference both on and off the field last year. Campbell was selected for the NFLPA’s Alan Page Community Award on Wednesday.

Campbell was awarded $100,00 by the NFLPA to donate to his charity, the Charles Richard Campbell (CRC) Foundation. The 37-year-old had the following to say about winning the 2024 Alan Page Community Award:

“Alan Page’s legacy reaches much further than football – it’s one of serving others, furthering education and advancing justice,” Campbell said via the NFLPA’s official website. “I’ve been blessed to enjoy 16 years in the National Football League, and I hope to leave a fraction of the impact in the communities I’ve played in as he had on his. He is an inspiration, and I am completely grateful and honored to be mentioned alongside him and to receive the 2024 NFLPA Alan Page Community Award.”
