The top recruit in Wisconsin football history according to 247Sports rankings was 2007 signee, Josh Oglesby. The Milwaukee, Wisconsin native originally chose Wisconsin over the likes of Ohio State, USC, Michigan, and other blue blood programs.

Oglesby was one of the first major gets for then-head coach Bret Bielema, and despite having the talent to live up to his ranking, dealt with major injuries early in his Badger career. A torn ACL during his senior year of high school ended his freshman season before it began, and after starting the next two seasons as a redshirt freshman and sophomore, he faced more injury issues as a junior.

It was his redshirt-senior season in 2011 where Oglesby finally broke through and earned a first-team All Big Ten selection at offensive tackle.

After signing an undrafted free agent contract with the Washington Football Team, Oglesby retired from football before his rookie season began due to a culmination of injuries. He has found success in the coaching ranks, and currently is the offensive line coach at San Jose State.
