Ex-NFL RB Danny Woodhead is really good at golf and is a step closer to the U.S. Open

Whoa!

Hey, remember Danny Woodhead? Of course you do!

The former NFL running back played 10 years for teams including the then-San Diego Chargers, New England Patriots, New York Jets and Baltimore Ravens.

And now? He’s really good at golf. Like, he could make the U.S. Open good. A couple of years ago he qualified for U.S. Amateur Four-Ball, and now he’s advancing in U.S. Open qualifying, a step closer to maybe snagging a spot at The Country Club in Brookline.

Per Pro Football Talk, he “advanced in local qualifying for the U.S. Open on Wednesday. Woodhead shot an even-par 71 at Omaha Country Club to earn one of five final qualifying berths at the site.”

HUGE! Look at this!

Let’s see what happens next!
