Everything Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian said to the media on Monday

Sark touched on the Quinn Ewers decision, provided injury updates and more.

Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian discussed a variety of topics with the media on Monday.

The Longhorns just concluded their second scrimmage of fall camp on Saturday and Sarkisian announced Quinn Ewers as the starting quarterback the day prior.

When asked whether he plans to play both Ewers and Hudson Card in the season opener against Louisiana-Monroe on Sept. 3, Sarkisian noted that he will not swap quarterbacks this season, but that he’ll see how the game goes. It’s clear that the second-year head coach is fully behind Ewers leading the team this year and explained his reasoning for choosing him as the starter.

There were also many positive takeaways from the media sessions, including encouraging injury updates, Agiye Hall’s suspension, and how well Ja’Tavion Sanders is doing this offseason.

Here’s a look at what Sarkisian discussed on Monday.
