Texas head coach Steve Sarkisian met with the media following Thursday’s practice.
Sarkisian praised defensive coordinator Pete Kwiatkowski for the job his unit has done thus far this season, expressed his excitement for a top-25 matchup in Austin between two undefeated teams this weekend, and gave credit to Kansas head coach Lance Leipold for turning the program around.
A few Texas players Sarkisian mentioned by name were T’Vondre Sweat, Byron Murphy, Derek Williams and Malik Muhammad. On the injury front, Sarkisian was unable to provide an update on right guard Cole Hutson but did mention that his recovery has gone well.
