At the end of the 2020 season, Jason Licht era of the Tampa Bay Buccaneers enjoyed its highest peak in a roller-coaster journey, as the team slowly built by their current general manager finally hoisted the Lombardi Trophy.
The success hasn’t stopped there, either. Licht’s Bucs have remained contenders ever since, currently riding a three-year streak of NFC South titles, and four straight playoff appearances.
It wasn’t always sunshine and rainbows for Licht and the Bucs, though. He’ll be the first to admit his list of draft misses since taking over the team’s top personnel job in 2014. But his ability to overcome those mistakes and still build a champion has put him in the conversation among the greatest decision-makers in franchise history.
