ESPN Insider predicts Bills make Super Bowl next season

One ESPN analyst predicts the Buffalo Bills will make the 2021 (LV) Super Bowl next season.

The Bills will represent the AFC in Super Bowl LV next year, says one ESPN Insider.

The analyst behind the pick is one of the worldwide leader’s national writers, Jeremy Fowler, who previously covered the Steelers right down the road.

Just a few hours removed from the Chiefs topping the 49ers in Super Bowl LIV, ESPN pegged their predictions for next season, and that’s where this bold prediction comes into play:

Seahawks over Bills (in Super Bowl LV). Both teams are a few pieces away. Seattle will pick up another stretch-the-field receiver, get faster on defense and let Russell Wilson do the rest off play-action. I like everything about the Bills’ rebuild, and if Josh Allen makes a sizable Year 3 leap, there’s little reason they can’t push through the AFC field with that defense and running game.

One word is key above: sizeable.

It’s not a knock against Allen, but asking or predicting any quarterback to make a “sizeable” leap from one year to the next is a very bold prediction. In addition, the Bills’ 2020 season pegs them a much tougher schedule than this past season.

The Bills played one of the easier schedules in the NFL last year. Teams change from year-to-year, but as of now, Buffalo has the fifth-hardest schedule in the league next season.

One game at a time, but hey, at least there’s one nationally recognized name out there not afraid to make note that the 2020 Bills are not the Bills of the early 2000s anymore.

But with that in mind, the Bills got to where they are by building their roster under head coach Sean McDermott and general manager Brandon Beane. That grouping has near $90 million and nine draft picks at the upcoming draft to give Allen all the help he needs.
