The last time Klay Thompson laced up for practice with the Golden State Warriors, Eric Paschall was a Villanova Wildcat.
For the first time since being drafted by the Warriors, Paschall had the chance to suit up alongside Thompson at practice. After missing the Paschall’s entire rookie season with a knee injury he suffered in the 2019 NBA Finals, Thompson returned to the Warriors practice facility for their voluntary offseason minicamp.
In a post-practice interview with members of the media, Paschall was asked about his three-time champion teammate. Golden State’s 2019 second-round pick said it’s good to have a presence like Thompson back in the gym.
Via Warriors Sound Cloud:
Looked good. I mean, he’s [Thompson] obviously a supreme competitor, so the intensity is always there and it’s just good to have him back in the gym. His presence is always known that he always brings that great intensity that he’s known for.
Along with Paschall, Golden State’s voluntary minicamp will be Thompson’s first official chance to work with the Warriors 2019 new arrivals, including Andrew Wiggins, Marquese Chriss, Jordan Poole and Ky Bowman.
Paschall, Thompson and the rest of the Warriors will continue to practice in San Francisco’s “Dubble” through Oct. 6.
