Week 7: @ Las Vegas Raiders | Sunday, Oct. 25, 8:20 p.m.
The Tuck Rule
We all know about the infamous 2001 AFC Divisional game between the Oakland Raiders and New England Patriots, when in a snowy game a young Pats quarterback named Tom Brady seemingly fumbled the ball and the Raiders recovered. Only it wasn’t a fumble because Brady’s arm was moving… forward?
That was the call on the field, and the rest is history. Brady would go on to lead the Patriots to a Super Bowl win over the St. Louis Rams, launching his career, while Gruden would be traded to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers that offseason. But it doesn’t stop there! Gruden would go on to win a Super Bowl with the Bucs the following year, taking down his old Raiders team. Now Gruden will be coaching the Raiders against the Bucs in a Super Bowl XXXVII matchup with Brady as the Bucs QB now. Everyone follow that?
