The accolades continue to roll in for LSU baseball’s premier stars.

[autotag]Dylan Crews[/autotag] and [autotag]Paul Skenes[/autotag] were named finalists for the Dick Howser Trophy, a national award given to the sport’s best player.

Crews and Skenes are joined by Florida’s Jac Caglianone, Wake Forest’s Rhett Lowder and West Virginia’s J.J. Wetherholt.

If Crews or Skenes were to win, it’d be the first time a Tiger won the award since [autotag]Eddy Furniss[/autotag] in 1998.

LSU is about to play a super regional this weekend and has heavily relied on Skenes and Crews this year.

Crews is the best hitter in a lineup that ranks among the sport’s best and has a chance to be the first player off the board when the MLB draft rolls around.

Skenes transferred to LSU from Air Force last summer and his presence has been invaluable with much of LSU’s pitching staff struggling to find their footing behind him. Skenes will also be one of the first players selected and could be the first pitcher.

Both players will look to cement their legacy over the next few weeks as LSU continues its postseason run.
