Draft Wire compares former Bruin edge Laiatu Latu to Maxx Crosby

This is a good player to be compared to.

The NFL Draft is stressful for all 32 franchises.

Will the players chosen boom or bust at the next level? For Bruins fans, All-American Laiatu Latu received a flattering comp from Doug Farrar of Draft Wire.

Farrar likens Latu to Las Vegas Raiders three-time Pro Bowler Maxx Crosby. Here’s what he wrote about the Latu-Crosby comparison:

On the field, you won’t find an edge-rusher with more pass-rush plans in this draft class. In that regard, he reminds me a lot of Maxx Crosby, who the Raiders selected in the fourth round of the 2019 draft and has become one of the NFL’s premier pass-rushers. Like Crosby, Latu comes off the snap with nice speed, and from there, he’s got the whole book of moves to throw at you.”

Latu, who has already expressed he looks up to Las Vegas edge defender Maxx Crosby at the NFL Combine, does show flashes of Crosby’s ability and play style. With an arsenal of moves at the line of scrimmage to chase down tailbacks and pressure quarterbacks, Latu comps well to Crosby.
