Dolphins LT Terron Armstead to travel with team to Germany

Armstead’s practice window could open up this week.

The Miami Dolphins, following their Sunday afternoon victory over the New England Patriots, are preparing to travel to Germany for their Week 9 matchup with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansas City Chiefs.

This week, Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead could begin practicing, as he’s been on injured reserve for the four-week minimum.

Ahead of Miami’s departure, head coach Mike McDaniel told reporters on Monday that Armstead will be traveling to Germany with the team, and they will evaluate whether or not he’s healthy enough to open his 21-day practice window.

If he’s determined to be able to practice, he can start as early as Wednesday and even be activated before the game on Sunday.

The Dolphins have had a number of injuries along the offensive line, so getting back a franchise cornerstone player like Armstead would be huge for the protection of Tua Tagovailoa and the success of the running game.
