Dolphins LT Terron Armstead leaves with injury vs. Commanders

He went into the locker room early.

The Miami Dolphins, on their final possession of the second quarter against the Washington Commanders, scored on a one-yard rushing touchdown by Raheem Mostert.

On that final play, Dolphins left tackle Terron Armstead headed to the locker room early, as he appeared to grab his leg following the score, according to the Miami Herald’s Daniel Oyefusi.

The team has announced the injury is to his ankle, and his return is questionable.

Without the star left tackle, Miami could turn to either Kendall Lamm or Kion Smith for the remainder of this game. As the Dolphins have a commanding leading in this one, they might not want to force Armstead to go in a game where they don’t necessarily need him.

UPDATE: Smith is playing at left tackle with Lamm entering this game with a back injury of his own.
