DeAndre Hopkins trade expected Thursday to Bills, Chiefs or Ravens

Pat McAfee’s source(s) say a deal could happen during the first round of the draft.

The Arizona Cardinals have been in talks with multiple teams about a trade for wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins. After many reports about asking price, salary and such, something could be happening soon.

According to Pat McAfee, “something is going to happen with D-Hop today (Thursday).”

He expects the trade to happen to the Kansas City Chiefs, Buffalo Bills or Baltimore Ravens.

What makes this news interesting is the timing. If a deal is happening on Thursday, it suggests that perhaps a first-round pick will be involved.

The Cardinals have been seeking a Day 2 plus more.

Perhaps a Thursday trade means that perhaps the Cardinals will be sending a later-round pick to a team in exchange for their first-round pick, giving the Cardinals two in the first round.

Otherwise, any deal could wait until Friday, when the second and third rounds of the draft will occur.

As the first round begins at 5 p.m. Arizona time, keep an eye out for news of a deal sometime later in the evening.
