Darius Bazley cheered loudly for Seahawks during NFC Wildcard game

The NBA rookie was clearly rooting for Seattle during Sunday’s NFC Wildcard game at Lincoln Financial Field.

Darius Bazley certainly looked like he enjoyed himself at the NFC Wildcard game between the Seattle Seahawks and the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday evening.

The Thunder are in town ahead of Monday night’s game against the 76ers and went to Lincoln Financial Field to watch some football.

In videos from his teammate’s Instagram stories, Bazley is whooping it up in what looks like a private box, cheering very loudly for Seattle while the rest of the Thunder laughed in the background.

The Eagles fans in front of Bazley looked less than amused.

The NBA rookie commented on the videos that made their way to Twitter, “had to make my first NFL game a good experience”, complete with crying laughing face emojis.

Bazley is averaging 4.2 points and 3.8 rebounds in 17.1 minutes per game this season. Recently, he’s seen his playing time increase due to injuries and started four games in place of Danilo Gallinari at the end of December.

Philadelphia fans are known to be unforgiving, so Bazley better hope he has a good showing Monday against the 76ers. The last time the two teams played, Bazley scored five points and grabbed one rebound in 17 minutes.

The Seahawks went on the beat the Eagles, 17-9 to advance to the NFC Divisional Round where they will face Green Bay at Lambeau Field next Sunday.
