Danilo Gallinari praises Chris Paul’s help in Italy’s COVID-19 relief

Danilo Gallinari commended Chris Paul for helping his local area in Italy with relief for COVID-19.

Oklahoma City Thunder forward Danilo Gallinari wrote an uplifting letter in The Players Tribune that was filled with optimism and a sense of togetherness.

Gallinari extended his feelings of camaraderie and thankfulness in the letter to his teammate, Chris Paul. Gallinari is from Italy, a country that has been ravaged by the coronavirus. According to Google’s worldwide map, Italy has the most deaths of any country with upwards of 16,000.

A native of Italy’s northern region, Gallinari commended Paul for helping his local area with relief.

“Beyond that, me and CP are talking with one another almost every day. He’s an amazing person. He really is. Way back when things started getting bad over in Italy, he told me that he wanted to help my region and the local hospital, and so he’s done a number of things to pitch in and lend a hand. I cannot thank him enough. The nation of Italy has a great, great friend in Chris Paul, I can tell you that much. It’s truly special.”

With the coronavirus being a global pandemic, it’s been good to see people come together and help one another. Paul is an example of how helping each other and being positive will lead to making it through a difficult time.
