Dan Campbell has high praise for Saints HC candidate Aaron Glenn

Detroit Lions head coach had high praise in his media availability for Saints’ head coaching candidate Aaron Glenn

The New Orleans Saints are in the deep end of the head coaching market, with multiple candidates named and multiple interviews planned. One of the most prominent names linked to the Saints at this moment is Detroit Lions defensive coordinator/former Saints defensive backs coach and player Aaron Glenn. With another former Saints staffer Dan Campbell running things in Detroit, he had exceptionally high praise for Glenn in his post-regular season media availability, stating:

“Aaron Glenn is as good a coach as you’re gonna find, he’s an even better human being,” Campbell began. “Look if nobody wants him, I’ll take him again, I can tell you that right now. But the thought of going through another cycle and he’s not somebody’s head coach is ridiculous. I mean this guy is as good as they come, and he can do it all. He understands how to manage a game, he understands offense, defense, special teams, he knows how to communicate, he understands discipline of players, and he’s motivating man, he’s inspiring.”

Glenn paused, adding: “Anyways, I just … I don’t wanna lose him, but I also root for the guy, because I think he’s a hell of a coach.”

That is about as glowing of a review as you can receive for a head coaching candidate, and with Drew Brees even picking Glenn for the spot as well, the signs at the moment seem to be in his favor.
