The Colorado women’s basketball team won’t look the same after this next season with Jaylyn Sherrod, Quay Miller and possibly Frida Formann (we’ll see if she takes the COVID-19 extra year) all departing. I’m not sure if it’ll constitute a full rebuild, but these next couple of recruiting classes are critical.
As we learned Wednesday, assistant coach/defensive mastermind Toriano Towns is pursuing one of the top 2026 guards in Addison Bjorn. The Missouri prospect announced via Twitter that she spoke with Towns and received an offer from Colorado.
Ole Miss, Maryland, Ohio State, Pitt and perhaps most notably Stanford have also extended recent offers.
Following her first season at Park Hill South High School in Riverside, Missouri, Bjorn was named a MaxPreps Freshman All-American. Here’s what Aaron Williams of MaxPreps wrote on Bjorn:
A double-digit scorer in all but two games, she helped the Panthers to a 25-4 mark and Class 6 quarterfinals appearance. She averaged 18.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.0 assists and 2.0 steals per night.
