The analytics identify how Dallas continually outdrafted other teams, CeeDee Lamb compared to all-time great receivers.

Cowboys fans were cheering in unison as CeeDee Lamb slid through the first round, shocking experts and falling all the way to Dallas at pick No. 17. The Cowboys didn’t stop at just Lamb, however, as they were able to obtain one of their deepest draft classes in recent history.  Bucky Brooks: Lamb has Hopkins-like traits :: The Mothership

NFL.com analyst Bucky Brooks has been moonlighting at the team website and is the latest analyst to identify former Texans wideout as the closest comparison for CeeDee Lamb.

As a pass-catcher, Lamb displays A-plus hands and ball skills. He tracks the ball down like MLB centerfielder exhibiting extraordinary tracking skills and hand-eye coordination. Watching Lamb repeatedly come down with 50-50 balls with defenders draped over him reminds me of DeAndre Hopkins but Lamb is a more explosive and dynamic playmaker with the ball in his hands. The Oklahoma product expands the strike zone with his tracking skills and expansive catching radius, which will make him a QB1’s best friend in critical situations.



Jerry Jones grades Cowboys 2020 draft as ‘one of the best’ ever, headlined by CeeDee Lamb other top talent :: CBS Sports

Jerry Jones may or may not have been steering the Cowboys draft direction from his headlining making vessel, but one thing is for certain and it’s that he’s happy with his teams results. CBS Sports’ Patrik Walker details why Jerry called this draft, “one of the best ever.”


NFL Network draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah gives his top values in each round in the draft. The Cowboys selection of defensive end Bradlee Anae from Utah made the cut for the 5th round, as Anae was drafted 104 spots lower than were Jeremiah had him ranked.


Cowboys Add International Prospect From Mexico :: The Mothership

The NFC East was randomly selected to be the latest division to use a new developmental program, the International Pathways Program, that was started in 2017. The four NFC East teams are each set to receive one player that has a special practice squad exemption. The Cowboys were paired with offensive tackle Isaac Alarcon. Alarcon represented Mexico at the U19 World Championships.
