Cowboys come to life in free agency, sign LS Trent Sieg

From @ToddBrock24f7: Dallas will reportedly sign Sieg to a one-year deal worth slightly more than he made last season.

The Cowboys have agreed to their first signing of 2024 free agency.

But don’t expect this one to shake up the power rankings or have opponents quaking in their cleats.

Dallas will re-sign long snapper Trent Sieg, according to ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler, who cited a source for his Tuesday report.

The 28-year-old joined the Cowboys just last year, replacing Jake McQuaide in the role. His spot in the special teams battery helped punter Bryan Anger to a league-best net-yards-per-punt total and was a key to kicker Brandon Aubrey’s record-breaking success in his first NFL year.

Sieg made $1.23 million last season with the Cowboys after spending the previous five years with the Raiders. His new deal with Dallas is said to be a one-year contract worth $1.29 million, with $1.15 million guaranteed.
