Tim Crowder, Defensive End
Tim Crowder joined the Longhorns in 2003 and left for the NFL following the BCS National Championship victory over USC. During his time in Austin, Crowder appeared in 39 games over three seasons. During his sophomore year, Crowder finished with three sacks, seven TFLs and 32 total tackles.
As a starter in 2006, Crowder would finish fourth in the Big 12 with 8.5 sacks that season. He would add 32 tackles with 14 being TFLs. Against the Rice Owls, Crowder with set a school record with seven TFL in a single game. It broke Steve McMichal’s record of 6.5 that stood since 1979.
Crowder would be drafted by the Denver Broncos in the second round of the 2007 NFL Draft. He played in Denver and Tampa Bay before his brief NFL career was over in 2011. He recorded 10.5 sacks, 105 tackles and two forced fumbles in the NFL.
