Could the Boston Celtics’ best option to replace Danilo Gallinari’s minutes for the 2022-23 NBA season be…to do nothing?

There’s a solid case to be made the solutions are already on the roster.

Could the Boston Celtics‘ best option to replace Danilo Gallinari’s minutes for the coming 2022-23 NBA season be…to do nothing? After it became clear that the earliest the Celtics would be seeing Gallinari on the court this season would be at the end of it if everything goes as well as it possibly could on news of his re-tearing his left ACL, Boston suddenly found itself with less depth in their frontcourt than they’d hoped for.

But what if the fix for such a problem simply involved the Celtics playing the players they already have on the roster more than they were planning to?

From forwards Sam Hauser and Grant Williams to bigs like Mfiondo Kabengele, Bruno Caboclo, and Noah Vonleh, there are a number of bodies who can likely help absorb the minutes for Gallo.

The hosts of NBC Sports Boston’s “Early Edition” linked up with former Celtics assistant GM Ryan McDonough, with Chris Forsberg and DJ Bean diving into what might be the best path forward for the team.
