Contract Details: Former Georgia football OL Jamaree Salyer signs with Los Angeles Chargers

Salyer signed with the Chargers last week. Details here.

Former Georgia offensive lineman Jamaree Salyer was a sixth round selection by the Los Angeles Chargers in April’s NFL draft.

Salyer, the 195th overall pick in the draft, was one of 15 Georgia players taken in what was a historic event for the Bulldogs.

Salyer signed his rookie contract with the Chargers last week, per Aaron Wilson of the Pro Football Network.

According to Wilson, Salyer signed a four-year, $3.835 million contract that features a $175,932 signing bonus.

Salaries by year:

Year 1: $705,000

Year 2: $870,000

Year 3: $985,000

Year 4: $1.1 million

The Atlanta native anchored the Georgia offensive line for 47 games in Athens.

The All-SEC second-team selection had his best season in a national title year, shutting down Alabama star linebacker Will Anderson Jr. in the championship game.

Salyer’s versatility as a lineman who has played multiple positions along the front will make him a steady pro.
