The Buffalo Bills have inked defensive back Cam Lewis to a two-year extension as he was re-signed upon becoming a free agent.

According to The Athletic, the contract is considered a team-friendly one for the defender that’s been a versatile player that is in-and-out of the lineup.

The two years is worth up to $4 million with incentives. The base salary on the deal is for a league-minimum contract.

Lewis  has a per-game roster bonus of $7,000, up to $119,000. There is also a $25,000 workout bonus in each season.

There was an initial  $425,000 signing bonus as part of $1.55 million in full guarantees in the contract as well.

Over the course of the two-year deal, Lewis will have cap hits of $1.48M and $1.618M, respectively.

However, the dead cap hits are different.

This upcoming year it’s at $1.55M, guaranteeing he’s on the roster next year. In 2025, the dead cap drops to $212,500, very much putting him in cap casualty territory in a year from now.
