Prediction

Rockies 4, Padres 2

Money line (ML)

Considering the Rockies are 7-34 on the road this season, they are never a good bet on the money line when they are not at Coors Field.

Colorado has one win on this road trip and has not won more than one game in any previous road trip since they won two of seven on the road between April 26-May 2. However, Marquez has been brilliant in his last four starts.

The Padres’ 33 home wins are the most in the major leagues. They have won 12 of their last 15 home games. But Musgrove has struggled in his last two starts.

If there is any road game to take the Rockies for some potential value, tonight is that game.

Take the ROCKIES (+145).

Run line/Against the spread (ATS)

It is true that the Rockies also have the lowest road cover percentage in the majors at 34.2%. They have covered the spread in only two of their last seven games.

The Padres are 6-4 ATS in their last 10 games and 25-25 ATS at home.

But as we expect this to be an outright win for the Rockies, if you aren’t confident enough to take them on the money line, you have an extra run-and-a-half of insurance with this bet.

Take the ROCKIES +1.5 (-145).

Over/Under (O/U)

The Rockies only average 2.8 runs per game on the road and bat .201, so even with Musgrove’s latest struggles, you can’t expect them to produce much.

But with how Marquez has been pitching, it will be tough for the Padres to muster much offense.

Take UNDER 7 (+105).
