Analyzing Monday’s Colorado Rockies at Boston Red Sox odds and lines, with MLB expert picks, predictions and best bets.

The Colorado Rockies (27-40) and Boston Red Sox (33-33) begin a 3-game series on Monday at Fenway Park. First pitch is slated for 7:10 p.m. ET. Let’s analyze BetMGM Sportsbook’s lines around the Rockies vs. Red Sox and make our expert MLB picks and predictions for the best bets.

Season series: First meeting since 2019 when Red Sox won 3 of 4 games

A walk-off HR from Nolan Jones ended the Rockies 6-game losing streak on Sunday, a 6-4 win over the San Diego Padres. Colorado has lost 10 of their last 13 games allowing an average of 5.2 runs per game over that stretch. Boston is the start of a 3-city, 10-game road trip and the Rockies are 11-21 on the road this season.

The Red Sox return home after taking 2 of 3 in New York against the Yankees. Boston has lost 5 of their last 7 at Fenway and is 17-16 at home as they begin a 6-game homestand. The Red Sox have not scored more than 3 runs in their last 5 games.

Rockies at Red Sox picks and predictions

Prediction

Red Sox 5, Rockies 2

Moneyline

The Red Sox are the far superior team, but -250 is heavier than I would have expected. Boston is basically a .500 team, they don’t deserve to be this much of a favorite so AVOID the moneyline and look to the run line in this game.

Run line/Against the spread

BET RED SOX -1.5 (-130).

Paxton looked like his old self in his last start against the Guardians in Cleveland. He’s had at least 8 K’s in each of his last 2 starts. Colorado has struggled against lefties 9-12 on the season against them.

Meanwhile, Seabold hasn’t notched a victory since May 9 and the Rockies are 11-21 on the road this season.

Over/Under

My lean is the UNDER 9.5 (+100) in this gamer. The Red Sox will do most all of the scoring as Colorado has allowed over 5 runs per game in their last 13 games.
