Colorado adds North Carolina State transfer WR Terrell Timmons Jr.

Colorado picked up a big-play wide receiver from NC State

In the middle of picking up several offensive linemen on Saturday, the Colorado Buffaloes also added a talented wide receiver in the form of North Carolina State transfer Terrell Timmons Jr.

Timmons was part of a group of recruits who visited Boulder on Friday.

After officially entering the portal last Monday, the 6-foot-2, 195-pound WR racked up offers from Arkansas State, Bowling Green, Coastal Carolina, Liberty, UAB and Western Michigan before giving his commitment to CU head coach Deion Sanders.

Timmons played in nine games last season, hauling in 11 catches for 195 yards — equating to a healthy 17.7 yards per catch. If he can sync up with quarterback Shedeur Sanders during offseason workouts, CU could have a new deep threat to roll out next season. Timmons shows good speed and body control during contested catches.

For Colorado, size is needed at WR for next season as the Buffs are losing Javon Antonio, Xavier Weaver and tight end Michael Harrison, who entered the portal.
