After taking down Penn State, Minnesota is the real wild card here since, historically, teams have jumped at least ten spots after similar wins (most notably #24 Michigan State in 2017, which defeated then-#7 Penn State by three at this same juncture). You can also take it to the bank that Texas will vault into the top 20 now that they own wins over both K-State and OK State.

For our purposes, though, all Boise State needs to do is keep Cincinnati and Memphis within striking distance. It probably won’t be another week or two before the Broncos really get their chance to move ahead.
