Best Hawaii Rainbow Warriors Offensive Player

WR Rico Bussey, Sr.
It’s a bit of a projection and a call, but landing the North Texas transfer might push him into instant No. 1 WR territory. The 6-2, 193-pounder was a deep ball playmaker for the Mean Green – averaging over 15 yards per catch with 128 grabs for 1,941 yards and 21 scores his 31 games.

He dominated two years ago with 1,017 yards and 12 scores, but he missed most of last season. Now he’s ready to fill in and be a part of what should be a high-octane attack.

The 5-10, 200-pounder was strong as freshman – making 40 tackles in his role in the safety rotation – and then last season he took over with a team-high 83 tackles with two picks.

He’s not that big, and he’s not a huge hitter, but he has great range and is strong in the open field.
