Can the Chanticleers actually beat Kansas in Conway? They won in Lawrence last year 12-9, but with a trip to South Carolina, and a toss-up at Eastern Michigan, there’s a shot at a 1-3 start before going into a tough start to the Sun Belt.
They’ll come up with one big conference win along the way, but figure in losses to the Gamecocks, Jayhawks, at Louisiana and – at best – a road split against Troy and Georgia State. Throw in the Appalachian State game, and it’ll take something major to get to six wins.
