Not many coaches have started 0-2 at Notre Dame and without looking it up I would guess that even fewer started 0-3. That’s what’s ahead for Marcus Freeman and the Fighting Irish this afternoon as they host Marshall in the 2022 home opener.
Some have joked about Freeman being on the hot seat with his 0-2 start as a coach and we all assume that first victory will come today with Notre Dame being a big home favorite.
It’s the first meeting ever between Notre Dame and Marshall and here are the latest lines, courtesy of Tipico Sportsbook:

- Moneylines: Notre Dame -1400, Marshall +800
- Total: 48.5 points
Kickoff is set for 2:30 p.m. ET as the game can be seen on NBC.
