Hate is such a strong, ugly word. I hate this Texas State-ULM game. The Bobcats have been a whole lot of fun in two losses, and ULM barely got off the bus against Army. The over on the 61.5 might be obliterated, but as was the case with the UTSA game last week, it’s not in my DNA to recommend Texas State as a favorite, ever. Do you like the new energy and the new push from a coaching change? Southern Miss was miserable – and sucking wind way too early – in the loss to South Alabama, and now it deals with a Louisiana Tech team that hasn’t played yet. It’s a stay away at USM -5.5, but if you kinda sorta like Louisiana Tech, that +180 on the money line is a strong chance to take.

Enough with this wishy-washy stuff. Yeah there’s a lot of uncertainty. Yeah there’s a ton of unknowns to deal with. Yeah, it’s time to make a definitive call and run with it. NC State went down from -2.5 to -1 against Wake Forest, and while that extra point-plus doesn’t really make a difference, it shows where the love is. NC State should be the better team, and for what it’s worth now, it’s at home. Wolfpack, definitely.
