Forget the investment side for a moment, Appalachian State at Marshall might be the most interesting game of the weekend. App State wasn’t as sharp as it should’ve been against Charlotte, and it still won easily. I like the Mountaineers to make a statement here in what’s going to be its big national game, but again with the Monet line, Marshall at home at +170 is inviting.

The money will roll in big on Notre Dame by gametime vs. USF. The -25.5 has been relatively steady, and that shouldn’t be a problem after the tune-up week against Duke. Expect a more explosive Irish team.

Make a call on UCF at Georgia Tech. UCF might be playing its opener, and Georgia Tech’s defense looked strong in the win over FSU, and UCF had a slew of players opt-out, and the Georgia Tech offense looks like it could break through. Like the Knights a 7.5 – that line hasn’t budged – Georgia Tech +230 on the money line isn’t bad is you thing it’ll at least cover that TD-plus.

With the line at -2.5, it’s all about who you like when Miami is at Louisville. I’m buying in on the Hurricanes – D’Eriq King, the improved running game and offense, a defense that didn’t quite turn it loose against UAB – but there isn’t any one factor here to argue either way. with the line.

Again with the issue of the smallish line with no real thing to go off of. Troy went from -3.5 on the road at Middle Tennessee to -3, but 1) Troy hasn’t played yet and 2) Middle Tennessee played once and was totally miserable against Army. Until the Blue Raiders prove otherwise …
