Class of 2026 recruit, and Aggie legacy Jorvorskie Lane Jr. commits to Texas A&M baseball

The Aggies baseball team landed its seventh very early commit in Jorvorskie Lane Jr., one of the top outfielders in Texas and an A&M legacy!

The week is off to a hot start for Texas A&M baseball with the team coming off its fourth straight SEC series win, having taken two out of three games over No. 13 Kentucky on the road over the weekend.

Now the Maroon and White are adding icing on the cake with an exciting commitment from a name that should sound familiar to the Aggie faithful.

On Monday, Jorvorskie Lane Jr. committed to the Texas A&M baseball team. Lane Jr. is 5-9, 175 lbs, and is currently a freshman at Fort Worth O.D. Wyatt. The Class of 2026 prospect is an outfielder who also plays middle infielder.

If the last name sounds familiar then we’ll stop you right there and answer with an emphatic yes, the younger Lane is the son of standout running back Jorvorskie Lane, who played in the backfield for the Aggies between 2005-08.

Lane Jr. announced his commitment via Instagram live on PerfectGameUSA’s social media handle, and according to the baseball scouting service, he ranks as the top outfielder in the state of Texas for the class of 2026 with a grade of 9.

He marks the seventh very early commit for the Maroon and White’s baseball team, and he likely won’t be the last.

A big welcome to Aggieland Jorvorskie, although you’re more than familiar with the Maroon and White already! We can’t wait to see you on the diamond, Gig’Em!
