Class of 2024 RHP Drew Rerick has committed to Texas A&M baseball

In adding Rerick to their 2024 class, Texas A&M is getting a top 50 national prospect and the number on RHP in the state of North Dakota.

Texas A&M baseball is hot on the recruiting trail after adding one of the best arms in the country to their 2024 recruiting class.

On Monday night, class of 2024 RHP Drew Rerick announced his commitment to the Maroon and White. Rerick is a top 50 national prospect, and with his commitment, Coach Jim Schlossnagle and the Aggies now have both the number one RHP in the state of North Dakota and the top LHP in the state of Minnesota committed to their 2024 class.

Rerick is heading into his senior season at Fargo Davies High School and was named to the 2023 All-American Classic.

Rerick joins fellow RHP commit Houston Tomlinson out of Grand Oaks High School in Spring, Texas, who announced that he would continue his collegiate career with the Aggies last month. Both pitchers are joined by a trio of talents that include Flower Mound (Texas) outfielder Caden Sorrell, Villa Park (California) outfielder Gavin Grahovic, and Montgomery County (Texas) Lake Creek RHP Weston Moss, who all withdrew their names from the 2023 MLB Draft to join the Aggies for the 2024 campaign.

Rerick’s addition should bolster the depth in the Aggies’ bullpen after RHP Nathan Dettmer, LHP Brandyn Garcia, and LHP Will Johnston all heard their names called in this year’s draft. Texas A&M ended the 2023 season with a cumulative 5.67 ERA, highlighting how their performance on the mound will be a key area of improvement next season.

Congratulations to Drew on your commitment! Gig ’em!
