#Chiefs HC Andy Reid comments on the possibility of DE Frank Clark resigning with Kansas City

The Kansas City Chiefs return to work this week following their Thursday Night Football victory over the Denver Broncos. A player noticeably missing from the game was former Chiefs defensive end Frank Clark, who was inactive and eventually released from Denver.

Clark was a vital part of the Chiefs’ Super Bowl runs during his tenure but parted ways with the team during the offseason, opting to sign with the Broncos. Chiefs head coach Andy Reid addressed Clark’s free agency status and the possibility of him returning to the team during his weekly Zoom media press conference on Monday.

“We love Frank.” said Reid, “Right now, we’re just talking through some things there. There are a few things you have to look at when you do that. That’s kind of where we’re at. We haven’t done anything to this point.”

The multiple-time Pro Bowler had five sacks during the 2022 regular season and 2.5 during the postseason. The Chiefs will have veteran Charles Omenihu returning to the team this week after serving his six-game suspension. Clark is an exciting prospect to return, but only time will tell on the franchise’s plans for the rest of the season.
